I began my studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York by enrolling in a few elective courses. It was the hand drafting class that became the catalyst, quietly, decisively capturing my interest.

On the first day, the professor warned that most of us would likely earn a C. The statement was blunt, almost discouraging. Still, I was determined to do better. Years spent drawing and painting highly detailed, photorealistic work had already trained my eye and hand in precision.

What I quickly learned was that true accuracy depended not only on skill, but on the quality of tools, disciplined technique, and respect for design vellum -a surface that allows little room for error. Through late nights, revisions, and steady persistence, I completed the semester with a B.

Below are a few of my strongest pieces from that course. (Please, excuse the poor quality photographs.)
